The Bluegrass State is Giving Me The Blues!

These are two rather random shots of the twins, and I didn't intend for them to be so random, it's just all I have in this new folder system. And I didn't intend to get all goofy and weepy tonight after they left for KENTUCKY, it just happened!

I can already tell this whole idea of someday getting married and moving on to their own home with their own sweet little family, just ain't gonna work for this momma.

This is a really sweet post and it's obvious you LOVE your kiddos :) :) Both photos are great...but I must say that the one with the teenage boy and the little baby was the one that really touched my heart. Both of them sitting together at the piano :) Thanks for sharing with us. Greetings from Oregon, Heather :)

Oh it's soo sweet to see your child go off and have their own home. I can't tell how happy I am that our oldest is married to a sweetie and they share their lives with us. Our little grand-dumpling is precious. To see our son standing on his own two feet, making sound decisions, acting just like his Papa....melts my heart. It far outweighs the sadness I feel when I think of him so far away.

Crying tears of joy right there with you :-)

It really is like a part of you is missing isn't it? Two of mine are gone as well, and though I'm enjoying the ones that are here, it just feels "off". And so we pray that when the time does indeed come, and it usually does, He will have prepared our hearts!!
The pictures are sweet!
Blessings,
Linda

I know just how you feel. I cry on my children's birthdays.

Well, they've still got a few years before that comes.
I know how you feel, or at least, I've watched My Mom do that. I think she had the hardest time when My oldest brother left for collage,
I like the picture of Josh with the little one! A true man.

Boy, do I ever understand what you are saying! I don't know if you saw any of my older posts regarding Joshua graduating and then, later when he went to intern in Tenn. I used that forum to "deal" with it....:( I UNDERSTAND!!!;0 (From one mama to another!) You'll never "be ready" but God prepares us, I think. I guess we will know when we get there.
God Bless you. Cling to the King!

Oh dear friend, do not think so far ahead.

There is still time to enjoy them :D The picture of your older son is just precious, and so is your beautiful young lady.

What a lovely family you have...even if they do leave, remember that you have raised them well and they really do not leave too far away...we hope :)

Blessings,

Oh mama do I feel you! As a matter of fact I told my daughter not to get any ideas about your sweet son because you live so far away *blushing* I'm not looking forward to that time either but I know I will just have to deal when God says the time is right. *hugs to you*
