A Serious Question for Momma...

"Mom, when was Laura Ingalls born?"
"She was born in 1867, sweetie."
"Oh. Isn't that the year you were born?"
"Actually, no. It isn't."
Much as I love Laura Ingalls, I am truly hoping this was simply a serious math error, not reflective of anything else...

LOL!!! That is hilarious! :) And I'm sure it was just a math error...

I seriously can't wait for Victoria to reach that age where she asks funny questions like that. :)

Ha! Too funny! My kids can't believe we had only black and white TV with 3 channels, at best! It's like we were born in the dark ages! And we played things like marbles and jacks!

That was funny!

My older ones do that to me once in a while.

My husband and I like to amaze our children by singing the words to songs that are "old" as they come on the radio. They look at us and say "how do you know the words to that?" Too funny!

You gotta love those math errors.

I have to laugh when I mention a paticular thing and our little ones say, "Oh you mean you had those in the olden days" Boy, they really know how to make you feel old :) But then again when I was their age, I thought my age was old too! Funny how perspective changes over time!

The good ol mamma!

LOL!!! I can remember being a little girl - early grade-school age - & asking my dad what it was like to live in "the olden day." After he quit laughing, he told me he didn't know b/c HIS days weren't as 'old' as I thought. :-)

Then, about 10 yrs ago, 1 of my daughters asked me the same thing! lol

Oh my goodness! I am gasping as I try to regain some semblance of self control. How hilarious!

My little guys aren't old enough to ask things like this . . .yet. But I am interested in seeing what they come up with as the years go by.

BTW I love this picture of Laura. She was so sweet and pretty!

What a hoot!!!! When I was younger than Abby we went to Iowa to visit all my grandparents. I asked my grandma why all people in Iowa had wrinkly necks. Clearly, I had only visited both sets of grandparents and didn't notice anybody else in that state! HA!
