Today we had the pleasure of a visit from a family new to Michigan. They were visiting the farm and inquiring about raw milk with their delightful little girls. Questions were asked and answered about the animals, then the questions turned to home educating...they are considering home schooling,and funny that she should mention her fear of not ALWAYS being patient...how do I do it???? Yikes! I had no option but honesty as five of the eight children were present. I really wanted to be able to say I've NEVER EVEN THOUGHT of losing self control, but the reality is...home educating isn't about bringing text books home. I am still a living example of the redemptive power of God every time I fail with my children (and husby)and ask for their forgiveness. Our family has opportunity every single day to live out love, graciousness, failure, forgiveness, restoration, hope...the list can go on and on.
I wouldn't trade home educating for anything.
