Laura (aka Running Squash-named by Anna) and big brother Josh"...so few women truly embrace their God-given role as wise guardians and keepers of the home...Home is too important to be left to itself; it is something precious to be tended, cared for, kept, and yes, guarded. God has given women a sphere that is naturally and wonderfully their own to manage and wisely govern."
~"Passionate Housewives Desperate For God "
We are settling back to "normal" with our routine and I have been asking myself for quite awhile why I approach our life/education the way I do. How easily I get distracted by perceived expectations! I want to embrace my role, I want to keep, tend and guard the home, and I'm hoping to give to my children a love for all that is good and beautiful in our little corner of the world.
Not much is accomplished in a day with so many needs, so many questions, and Little Running Squash needing lots of loving. The time goes by so fast (already 18 weeks old!) and the older I get, the more I need to treasure the moments. I think I can remember the gummy smile, the irrepressible giggle, the yummy folds of thigh chub, the delightful smell of baby, but it ends up fading. So no more rushing for the sake of production...I want to keep my home!

What a precious picture of your oldest and your youngest! We also are getting settled back in after the holidays and are enjoying being home a lot this week. We have missed that! Too much tyranny of the urgent around here!
interesting how our definition of the word "keep" changes over time
Blessings Sis!
