The best news of the week is... ANOTHER BABY!! On Saturday, my sister Emily and her husband Brandon had their first little one. His name is Brogan and he is so beautiful! I took some of the children to see him and as you can tell in the picture, it was instant love. There is something so amazing in the birth of another baby...that "something" that makes my own mother~heart do crazy things like...wonder if the Lord will bless us again. I love that babies remind me of all that is good and right, of all that is beautiful and hopeful, of purpose and fulfillment. Such a gift from our creator God!Did you know statistically Christianity is dying, in part because as a group, we(Christians) are rejecting the very blessing of God? According to Voddie Baucham of Grace Family Baptist Church in Houston, Texas, Christianity is dying because Christians are limiting their families to two children, parents are rejecting their discipleship role in the life of their children, and the children are leaving the faith. Not having children and not passing on the faith is crippling Christianity and will eventually destroy it.
There is no doubt that a family requires sacrifices of time, money, earthly treasures and more, but there is not one single thing this world has to offer that can or will ever produce the joy and fulfillment that a houseful of children can give. And by God's grace, it is a houseful of children that will go on to love and serve our God, passing on the truth of the Bible to the next generation!
Before someone gets sidetracked with the legality of numbers, I don't mean to imply that there is a certain number that denotes "godliness". Rather, like so many other issues, it is a matter of the heart. And like so many other issues, making choices because of our selfishness should never be a part of the equation.
So here's to Brandon and Emily and baby Brogan! May this be the beginning of another army for Jesus!
*Be sure to read Joshua's comment...I completely agree!

You are right! What a joy to see a newborn!
I have to confess when I read the post title I was instantly jealous! We are hoping for another blessing as well but nothing is "in the oven" as of yet :-)
Glad to see you're not AWOL anymore :-)
Always a treat to hear from you~ Cinnamon
Congratulations Mrs. Regan to your extended family. By the way, excellent post. Statistically, you are right, Christianity is dying and it is by the fact that Christian families are not having enough children. However, we know biblically that mankind will never be able to thwart the plans and purposes of God when it comes to the destruction of Christianity itself. In other words, God is in full control. This is really nothing to be anxious over, but I do agree with you that when God commands it in His Word to be fruitful and multiply the earth, people better obey that Scripture to it's fullest literal interpretation. :) Anyways though, great post. Many blessings to you and your family.
In Christ,
Joshua :)
Excellent post Mrs. Regan! I can't wait until, Lord willing, I'll be blessed with a husband/family of my own. It is sad to see that the number of Christians today, is dying.
Great thoughts as well, Joshua.
God Bless Mrs. Regan,
Kelsey

Congratulations dear friend, on your new nephew! What a joy babies are...they bring so much hope to all of us. A baby that can be brought up in the knowledge of Our Lord and Saviour!
Yes, I agree with Joshua, eventhough, statiscally the numbers say what they do...we must remember that Our Lord is in complete control!
And His Word will go forth where He wills it!
Blessings dear one,
Maria
Congratulations to your sister and her husband! I love babies! I also love Voddie. I just got finished reading, Family Driven faith and really enjoyed it. You know what I find even more sad than Christians not wanting too many children.. It's when I know a Christian mom with children that gets pregnant and wants to abort that baby. I went through this recently with a lady I know. It broke my heart. I prayed and prayed and prayed begging God to soften her heart. I counceled her and I asked everyone I knew to pray for her. She will be giving birth to her baby in a few short months thank God! So many Christian women need our prayers~So many are hurting and confused. Society's worldly views are running amuck in their hearts like a virus. I wish every woman knew what a gift a child was. Enjoy your new little family member :)
Congratulations, Mrs. Regan!!
I have to say though that you might hurt someone with this because sometimes families can ONLY have two kids or they can't have any kids at all.
Anyway, congrats again and thank you for this post!
*Blessings*
Thanks for commenting on my blog! What are your views on adoption? Just wondering.
Thanks again!
We have two daughters that are very faithful to Gods word...and that is the only children we have as of right now. I am very doubtful that we will have any more due to my age. I feel very blessed to have these wonderful young women and I don't ask God why not more? He knows best and with that I am so truely thankful!
I don't see familys as a number...I have seen some large families that don't seem like they are handling things very well...and I have seen families as small as one serving the Lord.
I understand what you are saying but please let us not be quick in thinking we have chosen how God has blessed us....He is incontrol! He is bigger than birth control!!!
Lots of Love,
Renee
