Surprises on the Farm...

More than once I have said "I am blessed beyond measure" on my blog, and today it happened again. After not finding sleep until 2 am, I of course, did not wake up very promptly. The first blessing was little Natalie crawling into bed with daddy, Laura and I.
"Can I climb up and cuddle with you?"

"Uhh huh..."
"I love you so mthutch!"
"I love you too, sweetie"
The second blessing was Jenna coming in to get Laura from our bed when she heard Laura squawking. What a joy that my 16 year old daughter is not only extremely capable, but she loves what she does. She is definitely blooming where she is planted...and I love it!

Good...just a little more sleep...
The third blessing was Josh coming in with an enthusiasm that is absolutely infectious around here...

"Momma! You have a surprise this morning!!!"
"Hmmm?"
"We've been featured on Lynnette's blog!"
THAT is a surprise, and a BLESSING. When I began blogging, I never imagined that God would use cyberspace in the way He has used it this past week. We all go through trials, and we are in the midst of a fiery trial right now. Lynnette has blessed my family and I beyond measure with her love, counsel, and kind words of encouragement...and it seems a little funny to say this, but...
She's like a sister to me, AND I'VE NEVER MET HER! I don't even know where she lives, yet God has reached down from heaven and joined us in motherly and literally sisterly love.
So, back to the point...she also featured Josh. And the blessing comes in when we received so many sweet thoughts of encouragement at just the precise time they were needed. Blessing number 4.
It's been a fun day for all of us, as we've read so many comments from new bloggers. Thank you LYNNETTE, and thanks to all who came by to visit! Don't forget to count your blessings!
Love, Kathy

Thank you for sharing your blessings. It was nice to remember that even early morning wake up calls from your child are something to treasure. It is easy to loose sight of those things when you are going on little sleep.
Just visiting from Lynnette's "Getting to Know you"

Aren't older daughter the best!! Our Miss Grace loves her "baby" brother too and it's such a blessing when she scoops him up to help Mama out.

You are blessed and loved. I'm enjoying looking at your farm~ But I think I need a hands on lesson with all the farm things you do :-) Wouldn't the kids have a blast. Not to mention the fun we'd have talking~

I did pop over to Josh's blog. Two amazing children and their blogs~

Hugs~ Cinnamon

Lynnette sent me. Wow! What a find. I have thoroughly enjoyed reading your posts this evening and remembering the days when my children were little. I know *that* I had young children--they're walking around as evidence; but there are days when I don't remember actually being there. It seems like they've been either teens or preteens forever. You're absolutely correct that those days go by way too fast. Oh, to have a little one to rock to sleep tonight. That's one of the reasons I enjoy my monthly time in our church nursery. If only we had more babies in the church right now.

Thank you for your transparency and for the beautiful pictures of your home and children.

Yes Kathy, I feel the same way! We've bonded for sure. How can I help but adore you guys. Your just precious.

I'm so glad you enjoyed your visitors so much. That makes me so happy. I love introducing bloggers to each other. It's a blast.

I'm up WAY too late. I wrote more in my book tonight and am just overjoyed as I recount things the Lord has done in my life and in the life of this other person. I can't wait to reveal to all of you what it is. So exciting!

Blessings to you my friend.

Hello! I just hopped over from Lynnette's blog. Your blog and family are beautiful! I hope that one day our family will be in your situation - farm life, a lovely old home, and maybe even homeschooling (although I don't know much about it - it sounds like it would be awesome though!). Thanks for sharing your life with us!

Mrs. Kraft is absolutely amazing!! I became blog buddies with her daughter Abigail and through their blogs, I truly feel like I know their entire family. Wonderful people with true hearts for God!

Your children seem very sweet, and of course, three-year-olds is always entertaining. ;)

God bless!

I love all your pictures and stories. I am a city girl who truly wishes she could find the gumption and courage to live the farm life... I guess I will just have to live vicariously through you! Thanks for sharing! Found your blog from Lynette's "Getting to know you"
