Reality On The Farm...

If you're tempted to think life is perfect here on the farm, it isn't, and we are not. Take today...

~getting up late because of multiple late nights with Little Running Squash

~arguments between the littles, which instead of being solved by brother, only grew worse

~tears over math, and a frustrated teacher who can't seem to explain it well

~hormones and cramps

~more squabbling over toys

~momma cries (literally) out to God for help

~Little Running Squash refuses to nap (again)

~more serious conversation requiring words from God, not myself

~stopped by the sheriff and issued a ticket with a rather large pricetag...

...home again and immediately greeted with Little Running Squash toddling into my arms with the most intelligent, indecipherable-to-the-untrained-ear babble saying "I LOVE YOU"

I know she said it! It was so clear...and it's all worth it.

Sorry for the bad day. Don't you hate those tickets~ yeck :-p

Life on the farm......not perfect but fun to dream about :-)

Hey I'm sure you've checked this but could it be something you're eating all of the sudden or drinking that is keeping little darling awake nonstop?

Praying she'll be worn out and asleep tomorrow~

Oh, that just makes all the troubles melt away...It's all worth it in the end. Seasons come and seasons go, thankfully the Lord will never leave us or forsake us. ♥

Oh you just made my day. What a smile I have just reading about your morning! You deserve some of that coffee creamer and a good ol' bubble bath this evening!
Have a great day and enjoy each and every moment~they will soon be a memory.
You are blessed!

No child in their right mind likes math, no matter who the teacher is. :)

1st of all...LOVED Julian's comment! lol!!!!!

2nd...Isn't the Lord so gracious & loving to allow us to be so calmed & 'bettered' simply by the love & 'Mamma language' of our precious children. Sometimes, I miss those sweet babbles.

I value your transparency. Not many sisters, even though in and of the Lord confess the realities of daily trials. Genuine openess and sharing what is real is what most people are searching for. All to often we want to paint a pretty picture. We are a family that is truly grateful that God snatched us up from the raging sea.
