On Conversations With An Eight Year Old

"Mom, how do I decide what to do when I grow up?" Caleb wondered.
"Well, sweetie, God will show you, over time, what areas you are gifted in and what He has created you to do for His kingdom. He often directs you by opening and closing doors in your life..."
"It is my desire to follow in daddy's footsteps." (Momma smiles sweetly)
"Oh...to be a mortgage lender?"
"Yes." And after a thoughtful pause..."But I really feel God is calling me to be the next Detroit Tiger catcher..."
"Oh...that would be awesome."

I love the way children are just so honest!

How sweet. :) There are so many choices for an eight year old! From cobow to firefighter, to a ball player...! The list goes on and on.
Thank-you for sharing.
Blessings,
Kelsey

How cute! Caleb can certainly get some pointers from his Grandpa on the professional ball player career!
