The purpose? Girl time as we find ways to promote continued femininity in our home. The challenge for me? Well, throughout the week I will see how many different combinations I can come up with using the same skirt! If anyone feels like they don't own enough options, be encouraged with this post-partum mom (I'll try not to share too many secrets), and by-the-way, how long does "post-partum" last? :)
Day 1
Wearing the all-time favorite denim tiered skirt I bought at a garage sale for $3 with a tobacco brown Lands' End blouse I found at a thrift store for under $2. Laura is wearing a Baby Gap denim jumper that grandma bought Abigail ten years ago !!!
Abigail also chose her denim skirt...
Abigail did some cute little loopie with her hair, and Jenna did a giant braid. I'm lucky if I can get a ponytail in...
That is us for the day! Nothing historic or unusually beautiful, but practical and comfortable. Have fun taking up the challenge!

You asked how long you can claim the post-partum excuse. Well, my Anna is 9 years old and I'm STILL saying I have post-partum weight to lose. HA!
It's great how you are able to pass clothes on from girl to girl isn't it? :) My youngest sister, Keturah has worn some things that used to be mine!
God Bless,
Kelsey
Mrs Regan,
I am Kelsey's mom. Because I don't have a blog account, I often will write from my daughters account.
I love your post today! The journey you shared about what's feminine, has been ours as well and I think we came to the same conclusion from what I can gather.:)
I commend you for your simplicity. There is nothing wrong with that! For practicality, there are times our girls do wear pants that are modest, but mostly they wear dreses/skirts.(when they are biking or playing certain games outdoors or on the trampoline, for instance)
I know what you mean when you speak of variety, I too, sometimes have to re-wear skirts over and over with different tops, but that's Ok in my opinion. Simplicity and contentment are exercised here I guess.
Post-partum?? I understand! If you mean the emotions it depends on the individual and for me the weight issue seems to take longer with each one, in my experience...:This is yet another area I rely upon the grace of God.
Keep up the great work with your family!
God Bless you sister in Christ.
In His Gracious Grip,
Lydia Hoppman
