Growing

There are times in life that stand out as teaching moments, and yesterday was one of those days. All day was spent on the computer and phone trying to find a home for our lab, Callie and just when we ran completely out of options and all doors closed, God opened that final door. By 10pm she was on her way to a new home. Though cautious about over-spiritualizing an event with an animal, it might not have been so much about Callie as it was meant for us. Even in the simple areas of our lives, God cares for us. As the adult, I can see and understand the necessity of the transaction, but my fifteen year old perhaps will first only see and understand the tender provision of God. Another growing moment.
